The Early Award Scholarship Program (EASP), administered by the Community Foundation of Wabash
County, is a Children’s Savings Account (CSA) program that uses the motivational power of assets to
encourage post-secondary attainment. The EASP provides scholarships to students in grades 4 through 8
based on completion of in-school work, of college-going activities, and regular savings in a CollegeChoice
529 Direct Savings Account. The Early Award scholarships are accumulated in the student’s Early Award
Fund and are available up to the age of 26 to help pay for the students’ post-graduation educational
expenses at a qualified college or vocational school.
