TIPPS is a school-wide, systems change process intended to make schools more sensitive and responsive
to the needs of students with trauma histories. Over the past year, we have developed 11
comprehensive, online educational modules that deliver content on the pillars of the TIPPS framework.
Each module includes expert videos, research, and examples that users can apply to their work in school
settings. We are now finalizing a user testing process to gather and incorporate feedback from
practitioners, before finalizing the modules and making them accessible to the public.
We have also revised our program guide so that content there aligns with the newly developed
modules. In our revision of the guide, we added practice examples and reflection questions to deepen
users’ comprehension of the material.
In this next phase, we will develop additional case-based scenarios and reflection questions to add to
the modules and guide. Feedback we have received so far suggests that practice materials like these are
critical to the uptake of the TIPPS framework and necessary for a full scale implementation of the model
in districts and schools across the state. Cases will be developed by experienced school professionals
and assembled in a casebook that will be made available on our project website. Funds will be used to
pay content developers and manage the production and distribution of these materials.
