About Atrium Housing
Atrium Housing is a non-profit affordable housing real estate developer based in New Orleans. We're committed to building not just homes, but opportunity. We are now launching a new, independent nonprofit focused on providing supportive services to residents in our affordable
housing communities — and we’re looking for the right person to help us research, design, and build the blueprint for this critical effort.
About the Opportunity
This new nonprofit will partner closely with our development partners and serve residents across our properties by delivering impactful services designed to break the cycle of poverty and create long-term opportunity.
We’re seeking someone to take ownership of Phase 1: the research and planning stage. This is a temporary, flexible, and remote role. If the individual is interested in continuing beyond this phase, the position could evolve into a full-time leadership role based in New Orleans or St. Petersburg, Florida, where our housing developments and partner teams are located.
Role Overview
In this role, you will:
Conduct Research: Interview similar organizations and study successful models of supportive services in affordable housing
Design a Tailored Program: Develop a model that fits the unique needs of our residents and reflects national best practices
Build the Blueprint: Create a comprehensive plan covering staffing, program structure, service delivery, and long-term sustainability
Plan for the Future: Recommend and help recruit a long-term leader — or step into the role yourself
This is a unique chance to shape a new organization from the ground up. While the position is ideal for someone currently pursuing or recently completing a graduate or doctoral program in social work, public policy, or a related field, a graduate degree is not required. We’re interested in strong researchers with a passion for community-based impact.
