True Node is looking to hire a social worker equally passionate about Neurodiversity affirming care. This job posting stems from the desire to provide mentorship for neurodivergent therapists. The world needs more therapists with lived experience of Autism and ADHD.
The ideal candidate for this position is a social worker interested in Neurodiversity affirming care for Autistic people. Ruth enjoys providing limited license folks supervision, LLMSW candidates are strongly encouraged to apply!
True Node will pay for MIGDAS interview training and providing supervision related to Autism assessments. A main goal with hiring folks is to expand access to affirming Autism assessment.
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group therapy to clients.
Schedule clients for initial intake appointments and follow up sessions.
Enable client access to the electronic health record and share intake paperwork via the EHR.
Complete progress notes, intake assessments, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
Verify insurance coverage.
Collect co-payments and out of pocket fees from clients.
When appropriate, create crisis plans with clients.
File quarterly business taxes with the IRS and State of Michigan (this is a 1099 position)
Self-awareness of limits as it relates to availability and self-care
Complete MIGDAS training and provide Autism assessments

This is my first time hiring someone to work for me as a therapist. I imagine the onboarding process will take 2-3 months but generally speaking, onboarding processes tend to take longer if you’re new to them.
