Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive, forensically sensitive, trauma-informed therapeutic services to
child victims of sexual abuse and non-offending family members through individual
therapy, support group, and advocacy services.
2. Complete detailed individual assessments, treatment plans, progress summaries, and
progress notes.
3. Work directly with other providers to the child or family as well as school officials,
counselors, principals, etc., as needed.
4. Maintain timely, accurate records for all clients.
5. Maintain confidentiality of case information and content of treatment.
6. Facilitate therapeutic groups including Teen Survivor Group (as needed), Family Support
Group - Tuesday evenings
7. Attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings.
8. Attend conferences, seminars, meetings, etc. to continue education on the topic of child
abuse and victim services.
9. Provide agency tours and information about the therapy department as needed.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Minimum of master’s degree in social work or counseling with either a limited license or
licensed masters in social work or counseling.
Language Skills:
Bilingual language skills are preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing trauma focused services for children and families in
a therapeutic setting. Experience conducting therapy groups and working with child sexual
abuse is preferred. Knowledge regarding the dynamics of child sexual and physical abuse is also
preferred.
Physical Abilities:
Must be able to use a computer to prepare case documentation.
Travel:
Minimal travel is required. May include some travel to area hospitals, court, training, and
special events.
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
