What would this job entail?
A therapist on the Children’s Services Team provides treatment to children and their families
using evidence-based practices. Treatment is delivered on site or in the family home. The
therapist assists the family in developing an Individual Plan of Service. The therapist provides
clinical information to the psychiatrist, case management staff, emergency services staff, and
other treatment team members. The therapist also assists in the development of parent and
family education programs, and assists the Children’s Services Team in community education
activities.
The therapist will:
Complete comprehensive assessments for children referred for intensive services;
Develop a Person Centered Plan of Service;
Develop a safety/wellness plan for the child and family;
Provide treatment at intervals specified in the Individual Plan of Service;
Complete treatment reviews as specified in the Individual Plan of Service;
Provide information and consultation to treatment team;
Assist in parent education.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling;
Licensed / certified by the State of Michigan in social work, psychology, guidance and
counseling, or other related behavioral health field;
At least two-year’s experience in assessment and treatment of children and families.

The annualized salary range for this position is $62,439 to $80,613 per year (based on a 37-1/2
hour work week).
