What are the roles that we can take to promote democracy, inclusion, and solidarity during times of confusion and overwhelm? Deepa Iyer, a South Asian American advocate and writer, will be addressing these inquiries during a workshop on September 26th from 12:00-2:00 pm at the School of

Deepa Iyer is a multi-genre author of three books including We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim, and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial FutureSocial Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, and We Are The Builders! She has led and supported programs to catalyze racial and immigrant justice for over 20 years. Deepa currently leads the SolidarityIs program at the Building Movement Project.

For students seeking field credit: approval from field faculty is required.
