Dr. Erin Albert is a licensed psychologist and has worked as an embedded therapist for the University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services since 2020. In this role, she provides mental health support to undergraduate and graduate students in UM’s School of Kinesiology. Dr. Albert earned her PhD in counseling psychology with a concentration in sport psychology from the University of North Texas in 2020.
She has provided mental health services to young adults and collegiate athletes since 2014, across three different Division I universities. Dr. Albert has extensive experience helping athletes and performers with both elite performance and general mental health concerns. In her work, Dr. Albert has consistently collaborated with interdisciplinary treatment teams to provide holistic care for students and athletes experiencing mood concerns, disordered eating behavior, substance use concerns, return from injury concerns, and relationship issues.
