Halla Jomaa-Jouney

Jomaa-Jouney is the executive director of development and alumni relations at the School of Social Work. In her role, she leads a dedicated team of professionals focused on working with the School’s generous donors and alumni to raise funds for student support, faculty support and innovative programs that improve lives. She also oversees alumni engagement for the School’s vibrant network of more than 17,000 alumni.

Jomaa-Jouney has nearly 15 years of experience in development roles, including more than a decade at U-M. Her previous positions included director of development at the U-M Institute for Social Research and before that, she held fundraising roles at Michigan Medicine, where she raised funds for neuroscience and cardiovascular programs, respectively.

Throughout her career, Jomaa-Jouney has enjoyed partnering with generous donors and alumni who have given millions of dollars in philanthropic support to the university to advance student support initiatives and other impactful programs that align university priorities with donor passions.
