    Charity Hoffman Defends Dissertation, "The 21st Century Mother: How New Moms Navigate Work, Family and the Struggle to Have it All”

    Charity Hoffman successfully defended her dissertation "The 21st Century Mother: How New Moms Navigate Work, Family and the Struggle to Have it All” and obtained her PhD in Social Work and Sociology. Her committee consisted of Karin Martin, Katie Richards-Schuster (co-chairs), Fatma Muge Gocek and Mary Ruffolo. Hoffman has accepted a Research Project Coordinator position at UM's Women & Infants Mental Health Program in the Department of Psychiatry.

    Rachel Burrage Defends Dissertation, "Trauma, Loss, Resilience, and Resistance in the Beauval Indian Residential School”

    Rachel Burrage successfully defended her dissertation "Trauma, Loss, Resilience, and Resistance in the Beauval Indian Residential School” and obtained her PhD in Social Work and Psychology.  Her committee consisted of Joseph Gone, Sandra Momper (co-chairs), Donna Nagata and Karen Staller. She has accepted a tenure track faculty position with University of Hawaii at the Manoa's Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work.

    Julie Ribaudo Delivers Peer Reviewed Presentations for the Congress of the World Association for Infant Mental Health

    Associate Professor Julie Ribaudo delivered peer reviewed presentations in Rome, Italy for the congress of the World Association for Infant Mental Health. She also participated on an international panel discussion, Bridging Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Training, Competency and Professional Development, and presented a Master Class on Reflective Supervision.

    Letha Chadiha, Rose C. Gibson Collegiate Emerita Professor was recently honored at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, E. Aracelis Francis Lecture Series. Associate Deans Sean Joe and Tonya Edmond honored Chadiha as a faculty vanguard who injected new meaning and diversity of thought into the professoriate.  She was recognized with a certificate, "The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis hereby honors the new meaning and diversity of thought injected into the professoriate by Letha A. Chadiha, PhD March 20, 2018.”
