Assistant Professor Emily Nicklett received an award from the National Institutes of Health via the University of Michigan Center on Integrative Approaches to Health Disparities for the NIH Heart, Lung and Blood Institute workshop to learn to work with data from the Jackson Heart Study and the Strong Heart Study.

Professor Jorge Delva received an award from the New York Community Trust via the The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare to provide financial support to students in an expansion of the IHSWC project sponsored by SAMHSA/HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions and the Council on Social Work Education.

Assistant Professor David Cordova received an award from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities Loan Repayment Program for his continued program of research focused on adolescent substance use and sex risk behaviors health disparities.

Minyoung Kwak a Joint Doctoral graduate and Associate Professor Brad Zebrack have a study on post-traumatic stress symptoms among respondents ages 15 to 39  following their cancer diagnosis published in the August issue of Psycho-Oncology.

Professor Sandra Danziger, PhD students Jessica Wiederspan and Jonah Douglas-Siegel had an article entitled "We're Not All Deadbeat Parents: Welfare Recipient Voices on Unmet Service Needs" published in the Journal of Poverty.

Assistant Professor Luke Shaefer's extreme poverty research is cited in a New York Times editorial.

Professor Daphna Oyserman's study, "One Without the Other - Seeing Relationships in Everyday Objects" is in the July issue of Psychological Science.
