Professor Larry Gant talks with NPR about Tyree Guyton's outdoor art installation in Detroit.

David Cordova has received funding from the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research to conduct a community-based participatory research study to work toward integrating and implementing a research-informed mental health preventive intervention in a primary care setting. 

Julie Ribaudo and David Neal, Associate Directors of the Washtenaw Community Health Organization, have received an award from the Michigan Department of Community Health to develop and implement integrated health models and evaluate the dissemination and sustainability of integrated health care. 

Karen Harlow-Rosentraub has received an award from the University of Maryland through the Corporation for National Service to conduct an independent evaluation of AmeriCorps sites. 

Mary Rose Naoum (LSA'14/ MSW'16) was one of the seventeen U-M undergrads highlighted in Business Insider's "17 Incredibly Impressive Students At The University of Michigan". She was recognized for her leadership in the Prison Creative Arts Project, a coalition that uses the arts to enrich the lives of those at youth detention centers and prisons. 

This award was established by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation along with matching funds provided by the Ann and Robert Lurie Family Foundation. It is awarded to students in the Joint Doctoral Program in Social Work and Social Science with a research interest in advancing the understanding of issues relevant to improving the well-being of children, youth and their families.

Assistant Professor Shawna Lee was published in the Journal of Developmental Psychology v.49. Her article is titled, "Does Warmth Moderate Longitudinal Associations Between Maternal Spanking and Child Aggression in Early Childhood?"
