    Craig Laurie (MSW'13) Awarded Federal Grant from Department of Health and Human Services for Project, "Building a Movement for Michigan Gay-Straight Alliances"

    Craig Laurie (MSW'13) and a colleague were awarded a ​$500k federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health for their project,​ "Building a Movement for Michigan Gay-Straight Alliances” (BAMM GSAs)​. As part of Craig's position with the Michigan Organization on Adolescent Sexual Health, he and his team will work to improve health outcomes for LGBTQ youth in Michigan through increased prevalence and capacity of GSAs throughout the state over the next 3 years.

    Associate Professor Diane Kaplan Vinokur is now a Faculty Associate at the Center for Social Impact at the Ross School of Business. She will ensure that the Center for Social Impact will more thoroughly examine topics such as social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and community development.

    Clinical Assistant Professor Sue Ann Savas received an award from the Administration for Children and Families - Children's Bureau via the Michigan Department of Human Services - Office of Child Support to collect and analyze pilot project test data and report written results to the project partners.
