Linda Chatters was selected as a recipient of the 2015 Harold R. Johnson Diversity Service Award. This award was established in 1996 in honor of the former Dean of the School of Social Work, Harold R. Johnson. It recognizes U-M faculty members on the Ann Arbor campus who have exhibited outstanding leadership in the area of cultural diversity.

Associate Professor Andrew Grogan-Kaylor, Professor and Associate Dean Jorge Delva and Associate Professor Brian Perron were selected as members of the Society for Social Work and Research Fellowship Program. 

The Curtis Center Program Evaluation Group was cited in the article, “Human Trafficking Court Earns High Marks in First Year“ for its contributions to the new Human Trafficking Court in Washtenaw County.

John Doering-White (PhD student) was awarded a J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship as a cultural ambassador to Mexico for the 2015-16 academic year.

Karen Lincoln's blog, "The Economic Arguments for More Aid to the Elderly Poor" was published in the Wall Street Journal.

Michael Evangelist (PhD student) was selected as a 2015 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program recipient for demonstrated potential to contribute to strengthening the vitality of US science and engineering enterprise.

Professor and Associate Dean Ruth Dunkle, Professors Letha Chadiha and Berit Ingersoll-Dayton and Jean Balestrery’s (former PhD student) article, “The Social Relationships and Social Support of Aging Mothers Whose Adult Daughters are Mentally Ill” was published in the Journal of Family Social Work.
