  1. Clarice Ullman Freud Fellowships

    Application will be available Fall 2024

    The Clarice Ullman Freud Fellowships and the Clarice Ullman Freud Individual Research Fellowship were made possible by a gift from the estate of Clarice Ullman Freud along with matching funds from the Ann and Robert Lurie Family Foundation. Professor Freud was the Director of Field Education while on faculty at the U-M School of Social Work. The Freud Fellowship in Children and Families was developed to support research to help students integrate theory and practice in field instruction. Current effort focus on LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy work.

  2. SSW Alumni Board Scholarship Fund

    Deadline: 12:00pm (EST), Wednesday, February 21, 2024

    The SSW Alumni Board Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 to help meet the growing needs of U-M MSW students who pursue national and global field experiences and/or global independent study projects. The Alumni Board strongly believes that as our world continues to change, it is increasingly important for social work students to gain a local, national and global perspective to address the many challenges that we face.

    * This is a highly recommended funding source for Global students. Typically several MSW students receive funding from this source annually.

  3. UAW-GM Fellowship in Child and Family Programs

    Provides scholarship support for MSW students who are pursuing the Welfare of Children and Families pathway with a field placement located in the greater Detroit or Flint communities. Preference given to MSW students who are from the Detroit or Flint communities. Please note that no separate financial aid application is required.
