Jessica K. Camp

With experience as a clinical and community social worker, Dr. Jessica Camp, MSW ‘05, PhD ‘13, works to address barriers to economic equality, opportunity and well-being in southeastern Michigan. Her research and community practice has addressed topics such as: trauma exposure and disconnection from work and school among opportunity youth; food insecurity as a barrier to persistence in higher education; the intersectionality of race, gender, and disability in employment inclusion; and building pathways to peer support certification and higher education for returning citizens. She is passionate about teaching statistics, data justice, research methods, program evaluation and social welfare policy courses.
