Elizabeth Gumbis

LEO Lecturer I

Elizabeth Gumbis, MSW '02, is both a licensed clinical social worker and a school social worker. She also holds a master's degree in education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and families in the public school system, both in New York and in Michigan. She currently maintains a private practice where she provides individual psychotherapy and teaches mindfulness classes. She is a regular presenter at Michigan Association of School Social Workers State Conference. She is passionate about the intersection of mental health and education. She teaches courses in both interpersonal practice and school social work.
