Sara Marasco, LMSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan. Employed by the Michigan Medicine Department of Psychiatry, Sara currently works as a Training and Implementation Specialist on multiple statewide Collaborative Care (CoCM) initiatives, which involves training and supervising behavioral health care managers, as well as pre-implementation and sustainability planning. Her proficiency in CoCM training and implementation comes from working as a behavioral health care manager in safety-net primary care clinics and supporting the implementation of CoCM in multiple health care systems over the past several years. Prior to her work on CoCM initiatives, Sara worked as a clinician and researcher in an emergency room setting, delivering brief motivational enhancement interventions to adults reporting risky drinking behavior. Sara has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She earned her MSW from the University of Michigan in 2011 and has also earned post-graduate certificates in both Addictions and Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
