Dr. Brett Haskell currently serves as a consulting team psychologist for a MLB team. In this role she supports the psychological health, wellbeing, and performance of MLB and MiLB players through mental health education, mental health policies and procedures, and individual services. Dr. Haskell is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Coach who positions her work around player safety, well-being, lifestyle management, and mental skills for high performance. Dr. Haskell emphasizes neuroscience-based interventions to improve consistency, concentration, composure, resilience, stress and coping responses to high pressure environments.
Dr. Haskell also serves the National Women’s Soccer League as the Director of Mental Health and Performance where she provides clinical mental health advocacy and consultative support to all 14 professional football clubs and oversees league policies and procedures regarding player mental health and mental performance. She is the Chief Performance Officer and a principal owner of Momentum Labs LLC, a company focused on ensuring youth athletes have access to the same mental training as their elite college and professional sport peers. Finally, Dr. Haskell also runs a small concierge practice providing high performance coaching to c-suite executives and professional athletes.
Prior to these roles, Dr. Haskell was the Director of Sport Psychology at the University of Nebraska Athletic Department where she led a staff of eight providers working at the intersection of psychological skills training and mental health for high performance success for a decade.
Dr. Haskell has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, an MS in Kinesiology/Sport Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a BS in Psychology at the University of Nebraska Kearney where she competed in college volleyball.
