Nicole Prause earned her PhD in clinical science at Indiana University, Bloomington focusing on neuroscience and statistics. Her sexuality research concerns individual differences in sexual motivation using psychophysiological methods. More recently, her research includes how disinformation on sex research spreads in the public. Specifically, her research has included the emotional and physiological effects of orgasmic meditation, the physiology of orgasm, the effects of pornography on health, the impact of transcranial magnetic stimulation on sexual response, post-orgasmic illness syndrome inflammation markers, and identifying iatrogenic therapies and predatory journals.
