Lindsey Biggs is one of six Infant Mental Health program supervisors at Starfish Family Services, a non-profit organization located in Wayne County Michigan. She has been in the infant mental health field for eight years, five of those years as a program supervisor. Lindsey’s focus area within the field of infant mental health is on collaboration among multidisciplinary service providers and believes in a holistic approach to working with young children and their families. At Starfish, she has grown programming to include speech, occupational and physical therapy services for children being serviced by the behavioral health division. Additionally, multidisciplinary services have expanded into Head Start programs with a collaboration to provide speech and occupational therapy within the classrooms. This includes direct treatment, classroom observations and consultations with teachers. Lindsey has participated in workshop and poster presentations at National and International conferences in the field of infant mental health and early childhood development. She holds a masters degree in social work from Michigan State University with a specialization in Infant and Early Childhood.
