Dr. Yvonne K. Fulbright is a sexologist and an AASECT-certified sexuality educator with almost 20 years of teaching experience. She is currently an adjunct professor at American University, where she teaches “Sexuality Studies,” “Diverse & Changing Families” and “Sexuality & Intimacy in Contemporary Societies.” She also teaches human sexuality courses at the University of Cincinnati, College of Southern Maryland, and Penn State University.
The author of 9 books, Fulbright has written articles on healthy sexuality and relationships for psychologytoday.com, huffingtonpost.com, and disaboom.com, plus covered a wide range of issues as the sex columnist for Cosmopolitan, Women’s Health and Foxnews.com. Consulting projects have included working with universities on teen pregnancy initiatives, and with the American Medical Student Association on physician- patient sex communication. Her post-doctoral fellowship at the Univ. of Iceland focused on barriers to youth sexual and reproductive health services.
