Karen Youngs Hartley

Following years of experience working for the Lakeshore Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency, Karen currently serves in the chief administrative role at Michigan's provider of addictions practitioner credentialing, the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. MCBAP is affiliated as a Member Board with the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), which sets global standards for addictions treatment professionals' core competencies. With Karen's assistance, the curriculum content of the U-M Addictions Certificate Program has been pre-approved to count as educational contact hours toward participants' pursuit of MCBAP certification.
