  1. Fall 2024 SSW International Student Orientation

    August 26, 2024 (all day)

    Fall 2024 SSW International Student Orientation will be held on Monday, August 26 in Room 1636, SSWB and will provide information for incoming MSW international students. At this time, we are planning for an in-person orientation to be held at the U-M School of Social Work. Lunch will be provided.

    Please note that all incoming MSW students are expected to attend Fall SEED Orientation. Various sessions will be held each day on August 27, 28, 29, and 30.

  2. Jewish Communal Leadership Program Community Welcome Breakfast

    August 26, 2024 - 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM ET

    JCLP’s first public program of the academic year, the annual Community Welcome Breakfast, offers a chance for community members, SSW staff, faculty, and students to meet the new and returning students and to talk with them and each other about issues of importance to the Ann Arbor and American Jewish communities. As a new academic year at the University of Michigan begins, there is so much to reflect upon and discuss in anticipating the year ahead.  All community members are invited to join the Community Welcome Breakfast (catering by Amanda’s Kitchen) at University of Michigan Hillel (1429 Hill St., Ann Arbor, MI) on Monday, August 26th, 8-9:30 AM. Please RSVP at ssw.umich.edu/r/breakfast2024 by Monday, August 19th.

  3. MSW Prospective Student Information Session - Virtual MSW Prospective Student Information Session - Virtual

    August 26, 2024 - 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM ET

    This online session will provide the opportunity to learn more about the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor's School of Social Work MSW program. Topics covered will include: Online Program, On-Campus Program, Curriculum Options, Application Process, Financial Aid, and more!

  4. On-Campus MSW Fall 2024 SEED Orientation

    August 27, 2024 to August 30, 2024

    SEED Orientation will be held Tuesday, August 27 - Friday, August 30, 2024

    Share, Explore, Engage, Discover (SEED) is the School of Social Work's fall orientation experience for incoming on-campus MSW students. All incoming on-campus MSW students should plan to join SEED Orientation Week activities. Various activities are scheduled each day during Fall SEED Orientation Week (8/27 - 8/30).

    It is important to note that the first class session of SW590 will be held during SEED Orientation Week.

  5. Pre-Field Orientation for Students Starting Field in Fall 2024 Location: In-Person, see list below

    August 27, 2024 - 1:45 PM to 3:30 PM ET

    Pre-Field Orientation is an opportunity to meet with your Field Faculty to discuss the start of your Field Education experience. This mandatory meeting will go through expectations, important due dates, and help you prepare to begin your field placement.
