JCLP Sukkot Open House

Sukkot is a Jewish holiday about radical hospitality!
Please join students, faculty, and staff of the University of Michigan Jewish Communal Leadership Program (JCLP) in the School of Social Work's sukkah (temporary booth) for snacks, crafts, and a place to connect with one another. Help us build an inclusive community through interfaith and intercultural expression in the SSW courtyard.
(Note: backup weather location is School of Social Work McGregor Commons, at the entrance to the SSW building.)

Professional Communication
October 8, 2014 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET
This session will provide a very quick overview of professional communication tasks, with a focus on public speaking, both with and without slides. If time permits, we will briefly consider principles of good slide design and poster design.
An optional follow-up exercise will allow you to view and evaluate your own presentation style.

Lunch & Learn: Therapeutic Responses to Working with LGBTQIA Older Adults

The Queer Social Work Alliance, Sigma Phi Omega Gerontology Honor Society, and the Dean’s Initiative on Transgender, Bisexual, Lesbian, Gay, Questioning, Intersex and Ally Matters present: “Aging Across the Spectrum” with Shari Robinson-Lynk. This event, "Therapeutic Responses to Working with LGBTQ Older Adults" is free and open to the public and lunch is provided.
