Catholic clergy sexual abuse: Parallels and perspectives

Academic institutions and state legislators are in the process of creating a safety net for minors in response to incidents of child sexual abuse on University and College campuses. The Family Assessment Learning Laboratory for Education and Research seminar series will build on existing case studies with the goal of developing new responses and answering critical questions for academic institutions. Continuing education opportunities and academic credit are available.
The series is free and open to all faculty, students and staff at the University of Michigan.

The Social Justice Education Group and the Association of Black Social Work Students are sponsoring a screening of the film SKIN DEEP, a 53 minute documentary film by Academy Award® nominated filmmaker, Frances Reid. The film features university students from across the country as they confront the reality of race relations in America today. We'll begin at 5:10PM with food and an introduction by Kimson Bryant, followed by the film and a facilitated discussion. Joshua Meisler and Grace Adofoli will serve as facilitators, assisted by several others.
