The Nuts and Bolts of Evaluation for Community Organizations | Data Visualization Basics

This course is the sixth session in a new webinar series - The Nuts and Bolts of Evaluation for Community Organizations. Each session will focus on a practical aspect of conducting evaluation in community based organizations. The sixth session will focus on data visualization basics. Participants will learn 1) basic design principles such as color, size, and adjusting images, and 2) how to choose the right graph for the data. We will have a live demonstration on using Excel to create data visualizations.

CE Approval StatementThe University of Michigan School of Social Work, provider #1212, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The University of Michigan School of Social Work maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/15/2020-5/15/2023. Social workers participating in this course will receive 1 synchronous online continuing education contact hour.

School of Social Work Commencement
December 19, 2020 - 11:00 AM ET
The School of Social Work Winter Commencement ceremony will be a live ceremony which students join through Zoom. Staff, faculty, students' families, etc. will be able to view the ceremony via live streaming on the School of Social Work site. The ceremony will also be recorded and posted on the SSW site for those who need to watch at another time. More information will be shared as the date approaches.

Graduates were emailed a form to submit photos, name pronunciation, and mailing addresses to receive caps, tassels and hoods. This form must be submitted by November 20, 2020.
