Allyhood Development Training & the Intersection of LGBTQ+ Affirming Mental Health Care
December 12, 2019 - 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET
During this seven hour workshop, the Spectrum Center will present key concepts and terminology related to LGBTQ identities, communities and advocacy. Spectrum will then ask participants to apply these concepts and the NASW Code of Ethics to inclusive practices in the workplace and when working with LGBTQ clients, including the use of pronouns, a focus on inclusive language and suggested best practices. The presentation will be provided through Google slides and will include an emphasis on group discussion, individual reflection and direct participation.

ENGAGE: DETROIT STUDENT SHOWCASE

Your activism in Detroit is inspiring, and it makes a difference. Join us at the Detroit Center, to celebrate and showcase student engagement in Detroit. Enjoy refreshments and lunch while networking and relationship-building with community organizations, leaders, activists, elected officials, and others. Transportation will be provided from the School of Social Work to the Detroit Center and back.

Final Field Educational Agreement Due
December 16, 2019 - 5:00 PM ET
For all students currently enrolled in field, the Final Educational Agreement is due to the Office of Field Education.
The Educational Agreement is not considered complete until the student completes and submits their End of Term (Tab 3), and the Field Instructor rates the student's Practice Behaviors in Assignments (Tab 2), completes, and approves Tab 3. The Field Instructor is responsible to submit the completed document by the due date.

December Undoing Racism Work Group Meeting
