  1. OGA - International Coffee Hour OGA - International Coffee Hour

    The Office of Global Activities hosts bi-weekly coffee hour for all international students and visitors in the School of Social Work, also for anyone who has interests in global social work experiences. This week's Coffee Hour, we will invite Betsy Williams, the writing skills coordinator at the School of Social Work(SSW), to our event.

    If you:

    Have questions about the writing support resources at the SSW.

    Want to know what APA writing formatting is.

    Need support for your Goal Statements & Resumes when you apply your field placements.

    Need support for your cover letter for applying for a job after graduation.

    If you have some specific questions, please feel free to bring your documents with you to our events.

  2. International Coffee Hour

    October 16, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

    In this coffee hour, a Student Meetup will be hosted. Come and stop by to meet your peers at the school. This event opens to everyone!

    How are y'all doing in the program? What are the difficulties you have experienced? What are the strategies you can use for the rest of the semester?

    or If you want to know how to decrease workload by having a conversation with an academic advisor? / What is the course exemption policy? / What is the extension term policy and how to apply for it?

    Please feel free to come and stop by, it's good for you to get some new ideas and solutions from your peers. If you have any questions, please feel free to submit your questions in the RSVP form.

  3. International Coffee Hour

    October 29, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

    In this coffee hour, Ed-Dee Williams, who is a current Ph.D. student at the School of Social Work, will join us and lead a discussion on Black Lives Matter. 

    For International Students, context related to U.S. policies and social justice initiatives is difficult to get involved. This time Ed-Dee will give us a brief presentation of what is the Black Lives Matter(BLM) and its impact and future perspectives.
