Please join us for a day of service. We will leave for Detroit on a bus from the School of Social Work building at 9:30 AM and return before 4 PM.
Morning
- You'll have the chance to meet and greet with the Clark Park youth and bond over a fun ice skating session, games, and what being a college student is all about.
- Help to organize and check-in youth ice skating and hockey equipment.
Afternoon
- Get ready for an eye-opening tour of Southwest Detroit focused on environmental justice and community benefits agreements, led by local grassroots organizers.
- You'll learn about the cultural significance of the community center and gain a deeper understanding of the neighborhood's history and struggles.
- Engage with important social and environmental issues.
