Share, Explore, Engage, Discover (SEED) is the School of Social Work's orientation experience. SEED features programming tailored to incoming students. The goals of SEED include strengthening connection and community at the School of Social Work, exploring PODS (privilege, oppression, diversity, & social justice), and learning foundation-level social work skills.
New Student SEED Orientation for MSW students will be held on August 27, 28, and 29, with possible/tentative activities scheduled for August 30th. In addition, there may be optional social activities the weekend prior to and after SEED Orientation Week.
Various activities will provide great opportunities to meet and connect with MSW students, faculty, and staff. During SEED Orientation students will also receive their faculty advisor assignment and attend a pre-field education workshop (if starting field in the fall).
