Poetry Reading followed by Havdalah Ritual
The Jewish Communal Leadership Program is hosting artist, historian, and activist Aurora Levins Morales for a weekend of events exploring the ways individual and collective stories can be used to promote healing for the individual, community, and world.
Levins Morales is a prolific activist in the fields of Latina feminism, ecological justice, and disability justice. Much of her art is inspired by her experiences as a Puerto Rican Jewish woman living with disabilities. Through a poetry reading, Levins Morales will guide participants in shifting their consciousness to heal themselves and others.
Desserts and refreshments will be served. All food will be kosher.
PLEASE NOTE: All events will be scent free. Please do not wear perfume, deodorant, or any scented oils to the events.
