We Support Detroit Schools is hosting an evening of community dialogue with 9th graders from Cornerstone Charter Health High School at the School of Social Work.
Since September, Cornerstone Charter Health High School students have been exploring the causes and effects of blight in their communities as part of a class project. The evening of the 9th, five students will present their research, participate in a Q&A panel, and engage with audience members in break-out, informal discussions. Their areas of focus include the decline of local economy, education, and the automotive industry; riots of 1967; and city government corruption.
Doors open at 6 pm. Please RSVP below by December 1st as seating is limited and dinner will be served. Please direct any questions to Bobby Siporin ([email protected]).
This event is being cosponsored by the Jewish Communal Leadership Program.
We sincerely hope you will join us in honoring CCHHS students and their work!
All the best,
