This mini-course is a primer on assessment and treatment for psychological trauma. It will cover a diagnostic understanding of trauma's effects on brain, mind, body, attachment, and larger systems. Attention will be given to the way that discrimination, communities, and systems perpetuate trauma. A primary aim of the course is to offer a cursory overview of the three stages of trauma treatment with examples from a variety of psychotherapy modalities.
