  2. Celebration of the African Diaspora

    May 28, 2025 - 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET

    African Diaspora Celebration Roots & Reflection event centers around a diasporic conversation and celebration, bringing together Black Student Organizations to connect, reflect, share a meal, and honor our collective roots through community and joy. This event will be focused on student engagement. All are welcome.

  3. Community Conversation: Non-Traditional Students

    May 29, 2025 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET

    Non-traditional students can often encounter a variety of challenges while trying to balance work, school, family, and other commitments. This diverse group brings unique perspectives, resiliency, and strength to the table. This conversation will allow all students (non-traditional & traditional!) to come together and share their experiences!

  4. Tips for Successful Graduate School Writing

    May 29, 2025 - 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM ET

    This workshop will provide useful tips for successful writing in our MSW program. Workshop facilitators Betsy Williams, Writing Skills Coordinator, and Jennifer Nason, Social Sciences Librarian, will share resources for academic and professional writing and for library research.

    Short presentations will allow ample time for you to ask questions. While this presentation is designed for incoming online students, all MSW students are welcome to join us.

    Students must schedule their field site visit by today. The site visit is a requirement to pass SW515/SW691.

    The school’s Vision 2030 lays out a strategic pillar focused on "Advancing and Accelerating Action for Public Good". How can our school adjust to empower students, staff, and faculty to work with communities to increase their impact and respond to social justice challenges?   8. School-Based Placements Only: Online Education Agreement is Due for August Graduates and First Term 20-Month Students

    June 2, 2025 - 5:00 PM ET

    If you are an August graduate, your final field evaluation is due on June 2nd. You have registered for 6 credits of field in the Fall and 6 credit of field in the Winter. You do not register for field in the Spring/Summer term. 

    If you are a 20-month student, your evaluation is due on June 2nd. You will return to the same field site in the Fall term.

  9. Online Educational Agreement: Assignments Selected & Saved

    June 2, 2025 - 5:00 PM ET

    Please refer to your Canvas site for more details. Students should select and save an Assignment for each competency. You will not be submitting the Ed Agreement to your field instructor at this time that will happen at the end of the term.
