Provides knowledge and critical skills for analyzing criminal justice systems programs and policies for juvenile and adult offenders. Emphasizes how programs are designed, administered and evaluated and roles of social workers in these processes. Programs studies include diversion and pre-trial intervention, victimization services, probation and parole, community-based residential alternatives, and programs for forensics, substance abuse, mentally handicapped and youth.
