Course Description

This internship course is designed to provide opportunities to further an MSW student's professional experiences in agency settings beyond the required field placements for MSW students at the School of Social Work. Students will volunteer to intern in an agency setting. The internship will provide opportunities for the student to enhance social work skills and knowledge acquired in the MSW program. This course option is available to students in good academic standing. The internship experience is part of an independent study under the supervision of a School of Social Work faculty instructor. Faculty instructors must be clinical-track or tenure-track faculty member. The student is required to meet with the faculty instructor regularly to develop relevant learning goals and assignments that highlight skill development and learning.
