This course is taught by various members of the program faculty. Each version of the course has its own subtitle, some being offered one time only while others are repeated and may evolve into regular courses with their own course number and title.
THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE TO FALL 2013 INCOMING COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION CONCENTRATORS IN THE MSW PROGRAM
This course provides an intensive integrative and continuous learning experience for students who concentrate in Community Organization (CO), in order to strengthen social justice and social change at the community level. It examines core concepts of practice, major models and methods, and practical steps in the process. It is designed to build upon and prepare for more advanced courses courses in the CO curriculum.
The course enables students to establish relationships with CO student and faculty colleagues, and integrate personal and professional goals in preparation for life and work following the program.
