Graduation does not mark the end of your time with SSW.  The Alumni Office provides a variety of opportunities that will enable you to remain connected with the school in a way that is personally meaningful to you.

Student Spotlight

  • Stephanie Gray Chang

    In 2005, Stephanie graduated with a degree in Psychology and Asian/Pacific Islander American (APIA) Studies from U-M. She worked for five years with the Michigan Campaign for Justice, an advocacy organization working toward improvements of Michigan's public defense representation system.

    Through APIA Studies and involvement with the Detroit Asian Youth Project Stephanie had the privilege of meeting Grace Lee Boggs, a 96-year-old veteran activist who is redefining what revolution means in the Motor City.

  • Sharrell Blakeley, MSW '68

    Sharrell Blakeley is hard working, determined and passionate about healthy families.  Her work ethic was established early on as one of five children where she was raised by warm and loving parents, who always made room for friends in need. 

    Blakeley was a real go-getter in high school and graduated as salutatorian, who also had an impressive list of extra-curricular activities ranging from cheerleader to class president.
