When Aziz was ten years old, his 19-year-old brother, Tayseer, was killed by the Israeli army. After struggling with a desire for revenge, Aziz chose to dedicate his life to justice, peace, and equality in a world torn by war and conflict. For over two decades, Aziz has worked with Palestinians and Israelis towards a shared future, most recently with Israeli peace activist Maoz Inon, with whom he co-authored The Future Is Peace. We invite you to join the Master of Arts in Social Impact Leadership (MSIL) Program for a School of Social Work faculty panel, where you can hear from SSW faculty about their social impact work and connect with members of our community dedicated to social impact and social innovation. Unity in Diversity Dinner
The Flourish Office and the Office of Global Activities are co-hosting a Unity in Diversity Dinner. The event will provide participants with the opportunity to share a meal while engaging in facilitated conversations about social justice issues through a global lens. The dinner will create space for students, staff, and faculty to connect across differences, reflect on diverse perspectives, and consider how social justice issues manifest in different cultural and international contexts.
