Am I able to participate in the program if I live outside of the U.S.?
Our programs are open to a global audience, and the course fee is the same for international participants as it is for U.S.-based participants. If you have questions about how your geographic location or visa status may impact participation in our programs, please contact [email protected].
I completed the evaluation--where is my certificate?
A link to your certificate can be found in two ways:
- At the end of the evaluation, a link to your certificate is provided.
- Once you have fully completed the evaluation, an email will be sent to you with a link to your certificate.
If you are still having problems viewing your certificate, please contact [email protected].
Can I complete part of the evaluation now and return to it later?
The evaluation should be done all at once, so give yourself enough time. Most evaluations can be completed within 5-10 minutes.
I never received an email with the evaluation link. Help!
The email with your evaluation was sent via Qualtrics to the email address you provided at registration. The email will be from the Office of Continuing Education. Some email hosts will kick this message into your spam, so be sure to check there. If you still cannot find the email, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
I am having difficulty accessing Canvas. How do I sign on?

Where can I find the course schedule?
For all cohort-based programs, the schedule for each cohort is listed on the program website in Eastern time.
For self-paced programs, you are usually able to start the course within 1-2 business days of registering. The schedule for live Q&A or webinar sessions will be listed on the course site, and you can opt to attend whichever date(s) best fit your schedule.
What is the difference between a post-test/quiz and an evaluation?
Completion of a post-test (or an appropriate equivalent) is required for any online course to ensure participants are attentive in the online learning environment. The post-test is designed to assess your learning. The evaluation for the courses is intended to provide feedback to the organizers and presenters about the quality of the presentation, and evaluations are required for all CE courses.
How long does it take participants to complete the self-paced Certificate in Political Social Work?
The program has recently been re-released in a self-paced format, so we do not yet have data on completion timelines for this program specifically. However, we can make some informed guesses. Program completion requirements make it possible for participants to complete the entire program in one month, but it is more likely that those with busier schedules would take 3-6 months to work through the program.
