What times will Full-time online courses be offered?

Online MSW courses for full-time students will be offered primarily during the day (EST) during the week. Students living outside of the Eastern Time Zone will need to make accommodations to attend courses during their listed times.

Field placement hours will need to be scheduled to allow for class attendance.

When should advanced standing students apply to the Online MSW Program?

Advanced standing students should apply for the earliest date possible based upon the semester they are hoping to enter the Online MSW Program. Deadline information can be found here.

Who is eligible for the Online MSW?

The part time online program is designed for advanced learners. We classify advanced learners as those who have advanced standing eligibility or those who have been admitted through the MasterTrack MSW program, MicroMasters MSW program, U-M Sociology and Social Work program, or UM-Dearborn Human Services and Social Work partnership.

Will this program prepare me to work as a school social worker?

The classes needed for school social work certification will be available starting in Winter 2023.
