This video must be viewed before the Q&A Session mentioned below. This informational video discusses medical vs. psychiatry placements, macro placements, student-training programs, and specific application processes for individual healthcare systems.
Global Course Extension in Mexico Info Session
Join us for an information session to learn about the Winter 2027 term Global Course Extension based in Cuernavaca, Mexico!
This program is led by U-M SSW faculty members and accepted students earn elective MSW credit. This winter's course will involve travel in Mexico during Spring Break. Read more about Global Course Extension model on the Office of Global Activities website.

Students must submit their Placement Verification Forms by Tuesday 9/15/26.
This allows sufficient time for field instructors/task supervisors to make edits and/or approve PVFs by Tuesday 9/22/26.
This is a requirement to pass SW515/ SW691.
Undoing Racism Workgroup
Undoing Racism is a community collective of students, staff, and faculty in the School of Social Work dedicated to fighting white supremacy at individual, school, and structural levels. This workgroup was established in 2019 after the community took part in the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond Undoing Racism workshops and builds on their anti-racist community organizing model. No matter what role you play here at SSW, you are always welcome to come to Undoing Racism meetings.
