Field Education

Field Instructors from Michigan Medicine will be in-person to share information about the student program and specific placements during this session.

For those unable to attend this session in person, the session will also be available via zoom, please see recording of session below. 

Pre-Field Orientation is an opportunity to meet with your Field Faculty to discuss the start of your Field Education experience. This mandatory meeting will go through expectations, important due dates, and help you prepare to begin your field placement.

Field Faculty & Room Locations:

In this session we will discuss the placing process and the field experience for Spring/Summer 2026. There will be time at the end of this session for Q & A.

We strongly recommend that students submit their OEA to their Field Instructor/Task Supervisor by Friday 11/28/25 to give at least one-week advance notice and allow time for their feedback and submission.

The earliest students can submit their final F25 OEA is on Monday 12/01/25. They will not be accepted prior to this date. The final F25 OEA's are due on Friday 12/05/25.

This is a requirement to pass SW515/SW691.
