The Association of Black Social Work Students (ABSWS) has received the Michigan Difference Professional Organization of the Year Award.

Queer Advocacy Coalition Awarded Student Leadership Award from Spectrum
The School of Social Work Queer Advocacy Coalition was awarded the Excellence in Student Leadership Award at the Spring 2019 Lavender Graduation. The award recognizes sustained and lasting commitment to LGBTQ communities. Lavender Graduation, sponsored by Spectrum, is a celebration to honor LGBTQ graduates at U-M.

What athletic facilities exist for students to use?
There are three recreation facilities available to all students. More information can be found at the U-M Rec Sports Facilities website.

What is the student of color enrollment?
The fall 2017 incoming MSW class was comprised of 28% students of color and 15 international students from six different countries.
Are career services available to students and alumni of the School of Social Work?
Yes. The School of Social Work offers career services to both current students and alumni of the MSW program. The Director of Career Services, Michelle Woods offers workshops on job searching, resume writing, interviewing, and licensure preparation each semester. The School also holds alumni networking luncheons to put students in touch with alumni who are working in particular areas of the field. A job bulletin is also emailed to students every two week. Unfortunately no, but a current student in the MSW program may be willing to host you during your stay.
