U-M International Center
- The University of Michigan International Students Site provides a variety of services for international students.
- The International Center also offers events and workshops on topics of interest to international students and scholars.

ELI Graduate Writing Clinic for International Students
The Graduate Student Writing Clinic offers one-on-one discussion, diagnosis, and guided self-help with writing for students whose first language is not English.
ELI Fall Workshop Series: English for Academic Purposes
Each term, the ELI presents a series of English for Academic Purposes workshops for international graduate students.
ELI Courses
Each term, writing, speaking, pronunciation, grammar, listening, vocabulary, and reading courses are available for graduate students.
Conversation Circles
Conversation Circles are a volunteer program sponsored by the English Language Institute (ELI) which was started more than thirty years ago to promote intercultural exchange and to provide international students and scholars at U-M with opportunities to practice English in an informal, casual setting. In each Conversation Circle, a small group of non-native speakers of English (up to 6 people) are paired with a native-English-speaking volunteer for a weekly hour-long conversation.
Language Clinics
The English Language Institute offers several Language Clinics which provide international graduate students, GSIs, scholars, faculty, and staff with one-on-one language and academic support. Clinics are staffed by ELI lecturers or by GSIs working under close supervision of experienced faculty.
Summer English for Academic Purposes Program
The English Language Institute at the University of Michigan offers a Summer English for Academic Purposes program designed for non-native speakers of English who are proficient in English and have been accepted to an English-speaking university for the following fall term.
