The SSW Human Resources offices manages all faculty, staff, temporary and student temporary appointments, payroll and sick/vacation time accrual/usage and can be reached at [email protected]. SSW HR acts as the liaison between the SSW and UM Staff Human Resources and UM Academic Human Resources. The SSW Director of Human Resources, Lori Burger, provides counselling and assistance to all staff for grievances and concerns, including conflict of interest and conflict of commitment questions. Accessibility in Action

This workshop guided participants through the ways accessibility shapes equity on campus and beyond. It explored why disability matters, defined key concepts such as ableism, discussed universal design, language and etiquette, workplace accommodations, and the role of the Disability Equity Office. It also highlighted how accessibility benefits everyone, not only those with disabilities.
