Eileen R. Heisman is president and CEO of National Philanthropic Trust and previously served as its vice president and senior vice president having joined just prior to its launch in 1996. Since inception, NPT has raised $1.3 billion and has granted out $670 million in 23,000 grants nationally and internationally. In 2006, NPT was named Outstanding Foundation of the year by the Philadelphia AFP chapter.
Ms. Heisman is the co-author of Your Guide to Donor Advised Funds, published by Lightbulb Press, and she recently authored two articles on family philanthropy in Family Foundation Advisor. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Arcadia University and Wyncote Academy, and as both a faculty member and board member of Leadership Philadelphia. Additionally, Ms. Heisman is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Social Policy and Practice, and serves on the Advisory Board at New York University’s George H. Heyman, Jr., Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising.
