Statement of Interest

As part of the application, you will complete a Statement of Interest (limit 300 words). In this essay, we invite you to:

  • Describe a particular social issue that you are passionate about and describe at least one example of how you have worked or hope to work to address this issue (for example, feel free to draw on your own efforts, paid or unpaid, including experiences as part of a student organization, a class project, community or volunteer experience, an internship, and your personal/self-initiated efforts).
  • Additionally, we want to hear about your interests in CASC. Why are you interested in this major, and how does this major align with your future career and personal interests?

This is your opportunity to share the experiences, perspectives, motivations, and aspirations that have shaped your interest in community action and social change.
