Patrick Kazyak-Albaladejo Muñiz is the Associate Director for Strategic Partnerships and Dissemination at the Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR). In this role, Patrick provides leadership and guidance in developing, implementing, and assessing strategic relationships and partnerships that help the University of Michigan build capacity for dialogic education and advance the field of intergroup relations education nationally. Patrick also coordinates the National Intergroup Dialogue Institute and IGR’s consultation program.
Lauren Fardig-Diop, with the Detroit Justice Center (DJC), brings 17 years of experience teaching high school English in Ypsilanti, Detroit, Ann Arbor, where she was raised, and New York City. She has been a school-based restorative justice practitioner since 2010, beginning her work with United Playaz at Banana Kelly High School in the Bronx, New York. Her work has centered on supporting youth-led approaches to interrupting violence and building stronger communities. Lauren later served as the Restorative Justice Coordinator for the Bronx Academy of Letters, where she expanded her practice to train educators and young people in circles, Restorative Justice, and Transformative Justice practices to address and interrupt violence at school, at home, and in the community.
